Over the past 10 years I have worked in Warehouse Management / Supply Chain industry with products from RedPrairie, direct with end customers and as a consultant through the RedPrairie organisation. My experience is with a diverse set of customers and ranges from pre-sales consultancy through to systems go-live and support. |
Buyit Direct, Mansfield
Currently I am finishing an implementation with Buyit Direct.
Buyit Direct are an online retailer that deal in a variety of products such as household appliances, air conditioning units, laptop and accessories. Due to pressures to get stock into the new warehouse I have been working with them to implement RedPrairie in compressed timescales, kick off to go-live in less than 3 months. |

RedPrairie / The Malcolm Group
Initially challenged with providing a solution to deploying RedPrairie into the business alongside a legacy WMS. The key to a successful implementation was to ensure that exisitng TMG business systems and customers business systems were unaffected by this implementation.
The solution was to enhance RedPrairie systems to manage all of the connections between the business systems.
The next challenge was to help The Malcolm Group secure new business by developing RedPrairie systems further to manage the supply chain for empty bottles into a bottling plant and delivery / storage of bottled beverages. Using the enhanced functionality the system could provide TMG with all of the necessary information:
- Emply glass production forecasts.
- Bottling production forecasts.
- Transport movements.
- Current empty glass in the supply chain.
With this data TMG could ensure the correct supply of glass to the production line and movements of filled bottles to storage / customers.
